Seattleites Lauren and Michael were looking for a destination that would offer a reprieve from the rain! Palm Springs ended up being the perfect destination -- easy for their guests to get to and plenty of sun, even in February. They knew we wanted a destination wedding from the get go -- a perfect opportunity to plan a weekend of festivities with their closest friends and family.
The Invitation suite was printed by Minted and reflected their wedding colors and style through each element. Their favorite part of the stationary suite was the palm framed Save the Date card that invited their guests to “Join us in the Desert”. They wanted the stationary to reflect a fun weekend of festivities in a modern and elegant format.
Lauren was immediately drawn her dress by designer, Hayley Paige, because of the delicate design on the bodice of the dress. It had just enough beaded detail to make this a-line tulle gown modern and romantic.
All 7 of the bridesmaids wore the same black dress, also from Hayley Paige, to keep the look elegant and timeless. The back strap details added a modern touch to the bridesmaid look. The bride gifted each bridesmaid a pair of paved drop Nadri earrings to wear on the day of.
Michael’s nephew and niece were the flower girl and ring bearer for the wedding! The flower girl wore an airy tulle dress by Jenny Yoo and a flower crown made by Arrangements Design. The ring bearer wore a black suit & black bow tie to match the groomsmen. The flower girl carried a satin covered basket with white rose petals down the aisle.
Michael had 7 groomsmen. They wore black suits, white dress shirts, and black bow ties. Michael wore a suit by Hugo Boss with an accompanying Hugo Boss bow tie, Eton dress shirt, and a white Nordstrom pocket square. He wore gold monogrammed cufflinks that were customized by Lauren and gifted to him on the wedding day. Michael gave his groomsmen matching Hugo Boss bow ties and customized black socks that had their wedding hashtag on them: #HolyMatriNoly.
The bride and groom wanted the wedding to have a modern elegant vibe so they stuck with a classic palette of black, white, and gold accents. This color palette worked well against the desert and palm tree backdrop at La Quinta Country Club.
The brides favorite part of the wedding day was quietly escaping with their photographer team, Kathleen Geiberger Art, right after the ceremony to The Cove, about 10 minutes from the venue. Being in the desert, they wanted to photograph some newlywed moments against the natural scenery. This is where Katie and Trent captured their favorite photos of the day -- the soft desert light combined with our ecstatic newlywed smiles was magical. It was the only point in the day where Michael and Lauren were able to steal a few moments alone together and celebrate their love.
Florals by Arrangements Floral and Party Design were the showstopper of the whole event. The reception pavilion was adorned with market lights draped in delicate greenery. The couples favorite element of the reception area was the 6’ tall marquee letters that spelled out LOVE and served as a magical photo backdrop. COJ's Angela helped create a seating chart and corresponding marble table signs that reflect the local and international destinations that Lauren and Micahel love the most.
